Planning Your Culver Visit
Are you planning to visit us in Culver, whether for a mini-retreat, an appointment at our clinic, or our Patient Appreciation Day in August 2025?
Please remember that Culver is a summer resort town. Housing during high season needs to be booked months in advance.
Here is a list of places to stay in town. All are within a 10 minute drive from Culver Pediatrics Center.
The Fox’s Den : Located within the Culver Township, across the street from Culver Academies campus.
The Inn By the Lake : Walking distance to Culver Beach Lodge, Culver Coffee Company and other restaurants, and in warm weather to Culver’s beautiful Main Street.
Culver Cottage : Beautiful B+B on Main Street. Walking distance to most of the restaurants in town and in warm weather to the Beach Lodge.

If you feel comfortable doing so, you identify yourself as a Culver Pediatrics Center/Dr. Adame patient, Jenny can help you find a one night rental which are challenging to find in Culver.

Dining Options:
We love Culver Coffee Company and Frida’s Mexican Restaurant. If you are here on a Saturday, be sure to check out Culver Farmer’s Market. We get most of our produce from here, and they offer prepared foods by local cooks and cottage bakers.
At Culver Coffee Company, Dr. Adame usually orders an oat milk latte, avocado toast with tomato, plain potato chips, and a vegan/GF cookie. Ask for the cookies that Dr. Adame likes, the staff at Culver Coffee Company will know!
At Frida’s, Dr. Adame usually orders a la carte side dishes: Refried beans with no cheese, two orders of sliced avocado, corn tortillas, and red salsa “la que pica”, meaning the spicy one.
Pharmacy/Groceries:
There is a CVS pharmacy and small grocery store called Park-n-Shop in Culver. Plymouth (about 20-25 minutes North of Culver), has Walmart, ALDI, and Kroger, as well as CVS and Walgreens.
Shopping:
Be sure to visit Culver’s Main Street shops while you are here. We especially LOVE Three Bird Layne located at 120 South Main Street. They feature workshops, journals, books, and art-as-therapy products. We also recommend civvies, our free community yoga co-sponsor.
Engaging with Nature/Entertainment:
What you can do in Culver will depend on the season and how much time you have. If you have some extra time and the weather is favorable, be sure to check out Culver Park and Beach, located on the northern shore of Lake Maxinkuckee. We also recommend taking a walk along the trails around the park and through Culver Academies beautiful campus. If the Culver-Union Township Public Library on Main Street is open, please check it out. Browse through the books and periodicals, sit on comfy chair to read, and check out their youth services calendar to see what they have going on. We love our library!
