Meet Our Doctor

Noemi Adame, MD

Dr. Adame earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Texas—Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Utah, with most of her time spent at the nationally recognized Primary Children’s Medical Center. She has also completed additional education for integrative treatment of autism and ADHD in children.

Dr. Adame is a board-certified pediatrician. She has completed additional training on holistic wellness for adults through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine including Pre-Conception, Pre-Natal, and Post-Partum Nutrition. Dr. Adame has an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Indiana. She is also a member of the PANDAS Physician Network.

Dr. Adame is the host of The Veggies Over Pills Radio Show on local radio station WTCA Giant FM and author of Metamorphosis Holistic Wellness Journal. She also writes a regular column for The Culver Citizen called “Get Healthy with Dr. Adame”.

Before relocating to Indiana, Dr. Adame spent most of her career as a pediatric hospitalist at the University of Texas-Health Science Center San Antonio spearheading projects to incorporate Family-Centered Rounds into the training of pediatric residents and medical students in the inpatient service. She believes the family and the child are the most important members of the healthcare team and encourages shared decision-making.

Dr. Adame was born and raised in south Texas but has lived in Culver, IN since 2015. She has an incredibly supportive husband, Chris Gamel, who teaches at Culver Academies and manages the business aspects of Culver Pediatrics Center. Together they have two children. Their daughter is a Culver Academies graduate. Their son previously attended Culver Summer Schools and Camps and is currently enrolled at Culver Academies Winter School.

As the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, Dr. Adame is dedicated to maintaining a welcoming, anti-racist, LGTBTQIA+ affirming practice. Dr. Adame speaks fluent English and Spanish. We believe no human is illegal. Dr. Adame’s pronouns are she/her/hers. All are welcome in the Culver Peds family.

Dr. Adame has been an ethical vegan since 2018. When Dr. Adame is not busy delivering high-quality pediatric care to our families, she is reading a book from the Culver-Union Township Public Library, running along the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee with her dog Coco, or baking a plant-based treat.
