What is DPC?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative, membership-based healthcare model. Instead of billing insurance, patients pay a flat monthly fee. Our model gives us the freedom to offer comprehensive PANDAS/PANS services with a focus on personalized care, longer appointment times, and the time to think deeply about your child's case. Our goal is to make your child's healthcare straightforward, accessible, and centered around their needs. We are accountable to you, not the insurance company, the government, private equity, or a soul-less corporation.
What's included in DPC Membership for the PANDAS/PANS Clinic?
Membership benefits include:
a. Thorough review of previous records, testing, and lab work
b. Review of detailed intake including a robust PANDAS/PANS questionnaire to track your child's journey
c. Comprehensive and personalized diagnostic evaluation with additional lab testing to evaluate for infectious triggers, genetic conditions, micronutrient deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, allergic triggers, and more
d. Initial intake appointment (can be virtual) to review medical records, form responses, develop treatment goals, and strategize a healing plan
e. In-clinic appointment to assess baseline physical exam and begin implementation of treatment strategy
d. Frequent follow-ups to track progress
f. Connecting families with resources and additional support
What happens after I enroll my child?
After you enroll, you’ll have access to the SigmaMD app, where you can connect your child’s previous medical records, complete intake questionnaires, message our care team, and self-schedule your first virtual intake appointment.
Within a few days, our team will send Release of Information forms so we can request records from your child’s previous doctors. We recommend scheduling your first virtual INTAKE appointment 2–4 weeks after enrollment to allow time for record collection, questionnaire review, and thoughtful preparation of your child’s care plan.
The INTAKE appointment focuses on reviewing your child’s medical history, discussing goals, and taking the first steps in their healing journey. Your child does not need to be present for this visit.
