General Advice on Cold Symptoms

Cold and flu season is here! We recommend intranasal saline rinses for the congestion, salt water gargles for sore throats, acetaminophen for aches/pains/discomfort, cough drops if the child is older. Antibiotics and steroids are typically not necessary for most cold-type symptoms. And of course, keep your child’s pediatrician posted on your child’s symptoms and any changes. If your child is part of the Culver Pediatrics Center family, all you have to do is text Dr. Adame for any questions or concerns.
