Free Lead Screens Year Round

We offer FREE lead screens at Culver Peds for ANYONE in the community .

Effective today, July 1st, 2022, Indiana is lowering the threshold for elevated blood lead level from 10 micrograms per deciliter to 3.5.

In response, our goal at Culver Peds is for all children who need a lead screen to get one at NO COST in a warm, welcoming environment.

Email Nurse Becca to schedule your child’s lead screen. This test is a venous blood draw and takes a few days to get results. We send the blood sample to a third party laboratory for analysis.

We will email you the results of your child’s lead screen as well as further recommendations. We do not offer medical treatment for lead toxicity for children with elevated lead levels. Children with elevated lead levels will be referred to their primary care physician and the Indiana State Department of Health.
