Eat Local. Eat Plant-Based Series: Mila’s In Plymouth

As part of the Get Healthy With Dr. Adame Program, I will share my regular plant-based orders at local restaurants. This post feature’s Mila’s in Plymouth.

With most Mexican restaurants, I find it easier to order from the a la carte menu, to avoid “hidden” or surprise non-plant-based ingredients like crema, cheese, chicken bouillion, or other animal products.

When we go to Mila’s my typical order, is all from the a la carte menu:

  • Beans with no cheese (you have to ask no cheese, it comes with cheese by default)

  • Order of guacamole (seriously they have the best guacamole in Marshall County), I do not get the chips (but if you do, they are amazing)

  • Order of flour tortillas

  • Grilled Onions

  • Bottled water from the shelf

I make tacos out of all the ingredients which I flavor with salt, pepper, and limes, which they will bring to your table upon request.

Sometimes I ask for green salsa, but I tend to forget because this meal is delicious enough as is.
